Doncaster Social

Hey,

Hopefully you’ve arrived here from a well known specialist site.  As you are no doubt aware I am interested in setting up a Doncaster Social (South Yorkshire UK).  My initial thoughts are for a Sunday afternoon from about 2 o’clock in a Doncaster public house.  There would be no charge as we would all just be in the normal pub.  It would not be an exclusive venue and will be populated by other “normal” punters.

My only reservations about this is that it wouldn’t give any opportunity for icebreakers, like a few games etc. to get everybody involved.  Not everyone is outgoing, and, maybe shy (like myself), but I would want whoever turned up to be fully included in at least some banter.  The only other drawback I can see is if someone walks in who knows somebody else.

Anyway as you can see this is a work in progress and I would appreciate any comments you have, which you can add below.
